This paper presents an approximate method that allows the calculation of the maximum measurable gain (MMG) in an anechoic chamber. This method is realized by using a low passive intermodulation (PIM) medium-gain directional antenna. By reducing the distance between the antenna and the wall of the chamber to reduce path loss, the purpose of replacing a high-gain antenna with a medium-gain antenna is achieved. The specific relationship between distance and equivalent gain is given in this paper. The measurement interval is determined by the 3 dB beamwidth of the measurement antenna to scan the whole chamber. A set of corresponding data for the residual PIM level and the MMG of the chamber can be obtained by the method of measurement outlined herein. The paper presents a method for digital compensation of the ratio and phase angle errors of a resistive voltage divider. The system consists of a separate electrical circuit of a resistive divider, and a digital compensation system based on National Instruments (NI) PCI eXtension for Instrumentation (PXI) PXI-5922 digital acquisition cards (DAQ). In this paper, the enhanced auto-tuning technique based on the injection of two sinusoidal test signals of different frequencies applicable on the low voltage induction motor self-commissioning process is presented. The main feature of the proposed technique resides in the advanced signal processing of measured IM voltage and current signals based on the cascaded delay signal cancelation structure. This processing algorithm enables the filtering of the symmetry-related fundamental harmonic from the non-symmetrical test signal excitation typical for the self-commissioning process. Based upon the steady-state response from the proposed filtering block, the simple yet effective calculation method derives the complete parameter set of the IM equivalent circuit. In this paper, a nonvolatile switch based on n-type floating-gate transistors is described. The switch states are programmed through the memory cell floating-gate voltage, allowing higher levels than the application supply. Furthermore, due to its nonvolatile nature, the power consumption is reduced. The on-state resistance, which does not depend on the supply voltage, is one of the greatest advantages of this type of switch in comparison to conventional switches. This benefit can be successfully exploited in low-voltage applications. The switch on-resistance can be increased without the need for increasing the switch area.................
The paper presents considerations concerning the transfer of random errors from the input to the output of the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) algorithm. The concept of determining an uncertainty of its output data based on the probabilistic error description has been presented. The DWT is discussed as the product of the vector of input quantities and the matrix of algorithm coefficients. Calculations of the uncertainty of a single output result of the algorithm are described with assumption that the input quantities are burdened by random errors of known distributions. Theoretical considerations have been verified by simulation experiments using the Monte Carlo method. Determining the uncertainty at the DWT output is possible due to the specific properties of transferring random errors by linear and additive algorithms....
